I realized about a year into my kink journey that the values of leather lined up very well with my own, but I hesitated in self-identifying as leather until I was accepted by those in the community. My identity solidified for me when I was gifted this vest by my owner, The Leather Rosary, for Christmas 2023. It is my first vest and first gifted leather and I treasure it deeply and have loved making it my own with pins, patches, and adding red lacing to the sides.

A lot of my patches and pins were gifted to me along with the vest. When I wear it I have my name patches, pronoun pins, and event pins on my left side, with my tag identifying me as property of my Sir at the top.

On the other side of my vest I represent my slut side with a "bimbo" patch, "baby slut" button (because I have only been sexually active for a few years), and an "I (heart) anal" button. I also have a non-binary flag button to represent the spectrum my gender lies in, and a Team Soup pin in support of presenters I admire. I celebrate my love of sharps with a button that says "Not Afraid of Needles" next to a pin of a blood bag. I also have pins for leather, M/s, and polyamory.

On the front pockets of my vest I have a patch that says "God's Favourite Sacrificial Lamb" as a nod to my religious upbringing and subsequent religious kink. On the other pocket I have a patch that says "I'm crying but in a cool way" next to a button which says "cry baby club" because I am, in fact, a cry baby.

I know I will keep adding to and changing parts of my vest, but I hope that it will always serve as a reflection of who I am and who I stand with. I feel a lot of pride in taking care of my leather and being in leather community.
