My vest is, at this time, blank. It is new to me, though I have been exploring Leather for a few years now. I hesitated for the longest time to call myself Leather. It always felt like a path meant for others; even considering placing a foot on it was questionable. But my partner, my friends, and my chosen family helped shift my thinking. Not towards Leather - towards my own strengths and steps. They helped me see where I stood, rather than where I thought I stood.

Now? I am eagerly embracing the journey. I have pins and patches waiting to grace this beautiful piece. More will come over time. I look at this pristine hide and I see potential. I see growth. I see joy.

I was a blank slate. I aim to be a work of art.
